Pacific Crest Securities Selects Wesley Clover Solutions for Unified IP Communications Solution

Technology-focused investment banking leader to rollout Unified Communications and IP Trading Turret platform linking more than 125 professionals in all US offices

New York, NY - April 26, 2011 - Wesley Clover Solutions, a leading provider of IP communications products and services for financial trading firms, today announced that Pacific Crest Securities, a privately owned technology sector focused investment bank, headquartered in Portland, Oregon and operating in major US and Asian financial centers has selected Wesley Clover Solutions integrated IP communications platform for all US offices.

The IP communications platform will replace Pacific Crest's legacy trading turret and PBX systems and connect staff both on and off the trading floor in a single, virtual platform. The clustered system design using the company's Wide Area Network will provide maximum availability, adherence to company business continuity plans, link remote offices and facilitate simplified management, maintenance and software updates for all nodes and endpoints from a centralized, browser-based management interface.

The WCS solution is a software-oriented, server-based platform enabling trading firms dealing in the capital markets to significantly reduce space and power requirements, virtualize their voice applications, assure business continuity, easily open new offices and connect remote workers and leverage their enterprise IT infrastructure while conforming to corporate policy and regulatory mandates.

"Firms like Pacific Crest know that the timely flow of information among all employees, offices and time zones can be a competitive advantage for them" said Ted Pearson, VP of Western Region Sales for Wesley Clover Solutions. He added "our system optimizes communication and collaboration for staff on a single, resilient communications platform that offers an array of IP trading desktops, IP phones and software-based unified communications, conferencing and mobility applications.

"After a thorough evaluation of potential vendors we chose WCS on the basis of the ability of their solution to meet the needs of staff both on and off the trading floor and across all business activities" said Steve Thompson, Vice President of Information Services at Pacific Crest Securities. "The versatility of the system, ability to leverage our existing IT assets, WCS's track record with similar kinds of customers and national support presence were deciding factors in our decision."

As Mitel's exclusive US partner for the capital markets sector, Wesley Clover Solutions enables customers to reap the benefits of a single, scalable communications platform that supports the unique requirements of the trading floor, executives, analysts, investment bankers and the back office in multi-location enterprises.
